How Can I Help Children in Guaymas Mexico?

As with any charity, ther are many ways that you can support the Castawaykids,as a volunteer; by giving us specific items that our children and families need; with your tax deductible financial contribution — or all of the above!

Volunteers are the backbone of our charity, and volunteer efforts are what have built Castaway Kids from an idea in our Founder Mark Mulligan’s mind into an organization that now serves countless underprivileged children and families in Guaymas.

While it is always easier to volunteer if you are physically in Guaymas / San Carlos, our charity has important work that can be done from your home in the United States or Canada.

Our children and their families are always in need of specific items: shoes, clothing, backpacks for school and text books being obvious examples.

One of the greatest challenges our Guaymas school children face is being on the wrong side of the Digital Divide, and Castaway Kids is committed to helping remedy this situation that so limits their precious futures.

And remember: All of our staff are volunteers and pay their own expenses — for all practical purposes we have no administrative overhead — so well over 99% of all charitable contributions we receive reach our children and their families!

We also ask you to consider sponsoring a Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico child’s education through our Scholarship Program. At the Junior High level this life-transforming donation will be as little as $300 USD per year.  There is no charitable contribution that is more effective in breaking the cycle of poverty than funding education!
